It's often Ryanair getting media attention with its outrageous stunts, but this time European budget air carrier EasyJet has made headlines after check-in staff refused to let a woman fly because she was "too fat".
Anna Delluci, 55, was told to buy a second ticket for a flight from Bari to Rome after check-in staff asked her to stand on scales in front of other passengers, Italian newspaper La Repubblica reports.
"I'm sorry, but you're too fat and if you want to fly with us, you have to buy two tickets," an attendant reportedly told Delluci.
Delluci, who weighs 98kg, is now suing the airline for the humiliation she suffered.
This comes in light of recent news that Irish airline Ryanair is considering a "fat tax" for overweight passengers.
