Scenic drive, Tutukaka Coast
Take a day's drive from Whangarei around the magical Tutukaka Coast through Matapouri, Whale Bay and Sandy Bay. Golden sand beaches, sparkling waters and lush rainforest make this touring circuit a scenic jewel.

Waitakere Ranges, Auckland
New Zealand's largest city is set in a stunning environment of glistening harbours, rainforest, volcanoes and glorious beaches. Drive to Arataki visitor centre and the dramatic ocean beaches of Piha, Karekare, Bethells and the Muriwai gannet colony.

Botanic Gardens, Hamilton
New Zealand's largest inland city offers a laid-back lifestyle of city cafés, retail therapy, museums and the fabulous Botanic Gardens. Allow ample time to absorb the 100 authentic theme gardens including Chinese, Japanese and Italian.

'The Mount', Mount Maunganui
Tauranga's twin lifestyle city overlooks the unspoiled 'Coast with the Most.' Our nearest equivalent to a 'Surfer's Paradise,' has a great holiday atmosphere, sweeping views from the summit, a base track and one of our best golden sand surf beaches.

Whakapapa, Tongariro National Park
Active snow-capped volcanoes dominate this national park, the world's first dual natural and cultural World Heritage area. At Whakapapa enjoy short tramps to Taranaki Falls and Silica Springs and ride the low-cost chairlifts.

Wine trail, Blenheim, Marlborough
The pristine Wairau Plains are a wonderful setting for our largest wine growing area. Enjoy samplings of world-class character wines as you tour up to 70 vineyards past clear fishing streams, high mountains and beech forests.

Abel Tasman National Park, Nelson
Nelson offers a superb lifestyle of fine wining and dining, fascinating arts and crafts and an outstanding natural coastline. Day walks from Marahau and Totaranui reveal golden sands, a turquoise sea and a big blue sky.

Alpine walks, Mount Cook Village
Grand views from valley walks to the Hooker, Mueller and Tasman terminal moraines and Kea Point are as emotive of feelings of awe as those from the summit. The monarch of the Alps is also the monarch of the glen.

Glacier walks, West Coast
Fox and Franz Josef Glacier are charming villages 24 kilometre apart, set amongst our most spectacular scenery. Both have walking access to the terminal faces plus many lookout tracks. Don't miss glorious Lake Matheson at Fox.

Millennium walk, Queenstown
Tootle up the Time Walk behind this self-styled 'Adventure Capital of the World.' This town nestles in the midst of a visually stunning and physically exhilarating alpine scene and this walk celebrates the region's heritage and superb landscape.
