Planning on a cheap break for your next holiday? Then here are the cities you won't want to be visiting.

TripAdvisor's new 'TripIndex' has ranked world cities by costing up what the average traveller can expect to pay should they visit. Average costs include: what you'll pay for one night in four-star accommodation, a large pizza, an eight-kilometre taxi ride and a dry martini.

Fifty cities were selected for the survey and were chosen based on the number of tourist arrivals each year.
